Maui Coast Land Trust

Organizational support through many years and stages of development

The Maui Coastal Land Trust wasn’t the first land trust trying to save pieces of the Hawaiian paradise, but it is now the best.  Moving quickly from all-volunteer group to a professionally staffed conservation leader, the group has become one of the strongest in the west and one of the first land trusts nationwide to become accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.

  • Many years of strategic planning have helped to focus its resources into high priority conservation strategies, including protection of one of Hawaii’s most significant cultural resources.
  • Fundraising planning and training have established a stable base of support and opened up funding opportunities from supporters at every economic level.
  • A Trustee Council has added new opportunities to engage philanthropic leaders in supporting the financial health of the organization.
