Fundraising Planning and Training
Generating the fuel to make visions real
There is a difference between vision and hallucination. Sometimes that difference is simply the resources to make a good idea happen.
Fundraising can stymie a group and stop it cold. Nobody wants to be in the position of groveling for funds to support a good cause. And this perspective is exactly where fundraising gets its bad rap.
We look at fundraising differently. It isn’t about asking anyone to give. Instead, it’s about offering something of real value – an opportunity to make a difference in an area you care about – in exchange for an investment. Good fundraising requires a clear understanding of what works and what doesn’t, clear expectations, and a variety of options for how people can meaningfully help raise funds. By sifting through the taboos and the discomfort, good fundraising makes it possible for people who care to build relationships with others who could also care, if just given the chance.
